For me, this is the highlight of the North Coast 500, the Kylesku Bridge.
Formally opened by the Queen on 8th August 1984, it replaced a nearby ferry across Loch a’ Chàirn Bhàin. The loch’s previous claim to fame was being used as a training ground for X-Craft midget submarines to sink the German battleship Tirpitz during World War 2.
